Bubbling Bath Salt Recipe (1)

This is a fairly easy recipe that looks like a bath salt and you use like a bath salt, but it's a foaming bath salts recipe. When you add it to the water, it fizzes like a bath bomb.

This foaming bath salts recipe can have a lot of bubbles if you use a bubble bath or body wash with a lot of bubbles. It's made without SLS, so it's easy for beginners to make.

Do Bath Salts Make Bubbles?

Regular bath salt recipes do not make bubbles. They are meant for their scent or other therapeutic benefits.

However, this fizzy bath salts recipe is meant to make bubbles.

How Do You Make Bath Salts Fizzy?

You can make bath salts fizzy a few different ways. You can use citric acid and baking soda to create a reaction that bubbles and fizzes when it hits the water. That's how I made these unicorn fizzy bath salts.

You can also use SLSa, which is used to create thick bubbles in bath bombs and other bath products.

The majority of my recipes are for home use, and I'm pretty sure that you don't have SLSa on your shelf. For that reason, I want to show you how to make fizzing bath salts without SLSa.

Instead, I used a body wash for this bubbling bath salt recipe. You can also use a bubble bath if you prefer.

How Do I Keep My Bath Salts From Clumping?

Bath salts, including this fizzy bath salts recipe, will clump if exposed to the air. The salt draws moisture from the air, creating chunks.

As soon as you make this bubbling bath salt recipe, store it in an airtight container. I don't recommend storing it in your bathroom because it is too humid.

Can You Put Bubbling Bath Salts in Plastic Containers?

Yes, you can absolutely put your bubbling bath salts in plastic containers. If you use essential oils, then there's some concern about using essential oils in plastic.

However, they will be diluted, and the plastic should not deteriorate.

I prefer plastic for my fizzy bath salts recipe because I don't want broken glass in the bathroom if I drop it. I'm clumsy, so it's a concern for me.
